Local 563 members gain access to top-notch, no-cost training classes—from safety to new construction techniques—led by experienced instructors to advance your construction career.

The training classes we provide help members to improve their skills and stay safe on the job.  With the help of the training and networking opportunities the union provides, many Local 563 members become foremen, superintendents, and even start their own construction companies.

Union contractors benefit as well from the fact that their employees have access to the best continuing education program in North America.  Contractors that make use of the training center get a safer, more productive workforce and can deliver top-quality projects at competitive prices.

The Construction Laborers' Education, Apprenticeship and Training Fund of Minnesota and North Dakota offers more than 50 different courses that are designed to meet the needs of construction employers, including skills ranging from concrete and masonry work to hazardous materials remediation to underground utilities to specialty work such as tunnel construction. The fund is a non-profit organization that financed by the Laborers' District Council of Minnesota and North Dakota, its affiliated Local Unions, and associated contractors' organizations. The fund is governed by an equal number of labor and management trustees.

To register for training you must be a member in good standing with the Local Union.  To view the current training calendar and a schedule of the classes offered go to www.ltcmn.org or contact the Laborers' Training Facility.
