Members
Membership

As a dues-paying LIUNA member, you are represented on the job by Local 563. The union protects members in many ways: by enforcing your rights under collective bargaining agreements and state and federal laws; helping you find employment through our referral hall; providing apprenticeship and training programs that offer you the opportunity to develop and improve the skills needed in an increasingly complex and demanding work environment; and advocating for the policies help the middle class and projects that put our members to work.

Paying Your Dues

As LIUNA members, we all need to do our part to keep our union strong in order to maintain our quality of life, and that includes paying membership dues. Base dues are $38.00 per month, and must be paid every month in order to remain a member in good standing of LIUNA Local 563. There is a yearly discount available to members interested in paying their monthly dues a year in advance. If you pay 11 months at the regular rate ($38.00) you will receive the 12th month for $1.00 ($419.00 for 1 year).

If you should fall more than two months behind on your monthly dues, your membership will be suspended. If you should become suspended, in order to regain your active status with the union, you will be required to pay a reinstatement fee. Please be advised that the reinstatement fee is more than dues; therefore you will save money by paying your monthly dues on time.

Working dues are in addition to your monthly dues. Working dues are $1.10 per hour worked under our collective bargaining agreements. If you have signed the working dues authorization card, the dues will be deducted from your vacation fund. If you have not signed the authorization card you will be billed on a monthly basis. Please note that your working dues authorization does not authorize us to deduct your monthly dues - to do so, a separate authorization form must be filled out.

You may now pay your monthly dues/fees online at http://www.563members.org. All online dues payments and credit card payments now carry an additional 4% vendor processing fee and $1.50 fee per transaction. In addition to making payments, members can now view work hours and training hours, update contact information, update skills cards, and put themselves on the Out-Of-Work list.
